I decided to do a Kirby cosplay because Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards was my absolute favorite game on the N64 when I was little. Honestly, I think it is still my favorite. I must have beaten and restarted that game at least 10 times in my life. But this cosplay is technically the Nightmare in Dreamland version because I wanted to make the Star Rod. Also, since Kirby is a boy, I wanted to really make it girly.
Cosplay Breakdown
The only time I worn this cosplay is for photo shoot with Chris Auditore Photography which is where I have these 4 pictures from.
Cosplay Breakdown
- Wedges and tights were purchased.
- The pink dress was made from a stretchy woven fabric (sewing zippers scares me)
- I have a white petticoat on underneath the dress.
- The belt came from a thrift store.
- The jewelry was designed and made by me with beads that were purchased from online.
- The wigs was purchased from China off of eBay.
- The handle of the star rod is painted wood.
- The star part is many many craft foam pieces glued on top of each other, then I used my scroll saw to cut the start shape out. I also glued 1in thick yellow ribbon around the thick edge, and spray it with silver glitter spray.
