Pixie Hollow Fairy Wings
This is a tutorial on how to make fairy wings. This how-to is just the way I ended up making the wings after reading a bunch of tutorials, trying to use other people’s tricks and tips, and then learning from my own mistakes.

Now you should have complete wings! Here are some notes on things I think I would have done differently:
- After cutting out all the wing designs, I would have separated the 2 pieces of poster board for each wing, and glued the metal wire hanger in between the 2 poster board pieces. After that dried, I would have glued the poster board pieces back together, and then attached the cellophane. I think this would have given the wings even more support. I wore them from 9am to 3pm, doing much walking and standing and some sitting, and they were getting a little droopy towards the end. This also would have made putting the paper structure onto the cellophane easier.
- I might have done something differently for attaching the wings together. There wasn't a lot of information on how exactly to do that part, so I just winged it (haha!) but it turned out ok.
- I also would have made sure that the wings completely matched one another. I trimmed the wings edges of all but one wing because I totally for got, and didn't think about it until the cellophane was already glued to itself.
